ABOUT ME

I graduated from the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA in March of 2009 in the top of my class.  My interest in massage began in 2003 when I injured my shoulder while lifting a heavy object and had it successfully treated by my massage therapist.  More importantly, she educated me about ways I could actively treat myself using a simple tennis ball and sold me a self-help book called “The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook” by Clair Davies, which became my “bible”.  For years, anytime I had a new pain, I would look it up in that book and successfully treat myself.  It was empowering and gave me the desire to help others to be free of pain.

At the time, I was working as a chiropractor’s assistant in Acton setting people up on Electric Muscle Stimulation machines, which also helped spur my interest in helping people obtain freedom from their pain. Years later, I was working in a doctor’s office and noticed there was a large majority of people who were being treated for chronic pain.  Some of them were seeking medications to ease their suffering, while others needed the more extreme solution of surgery.  Both of these options seemed unacceptable to me for most cases, and so began my quest to become a licensed massage therapist.

Since graduating, I have supplemented my massage expertise by studying alongside Michael Young, who I learned the very effective techniques of  Repetitive Use Injury Therapy from.

As of September 2014, outside of my office in Leominster, I have been working part time at the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, MA as an Instructor. I thoroughly enjoy both working with students and the public to help people out of pain. It is a true passion!
